Normandy - D-Day Beaches
Spare a thought for those poor bastards who had to jump off a boat on these massive wide beaches with nowhere to hide. And the poor Germans sitting in their little concrete bunkers spotting hundreds of boats on the horizon heading straight for them. -
Normandy 2

Normandy
Spring in France is spectacular - the streets are full of flowers, the air seems to be alive with music and laughter, even the lady in the bakery you've been going to for four years gives some slight hint of a smile. Okay, maybe not the last bit, but still, it's nice. Normandy's renowned for crepes, cider, camembert & some of the crappiest weather in France, so when the winter's finally over and the odd long sunny day appears it transforms itself into a country idyll.
